These last 9 weeks have been a rollercoaster. Takeout was never part of our business plan. We didn’t have an online ordering system, we didn’t even have to-go boxes, and our menu wasn’t designed to travel. Our entire business model got flipped upside down right before we got to the finish line.

To Hayley, Katie, Chef Antonio, Ramone, Rudy, Daines and Drae. The brigade that worked 12 hour days, 6 days a week for 9 weeks to keep us alive... we can’t thank you enough.
We also want to thank everyone who has followed our journey of trying to open our first restaurant the same time Covid came to town. Thank you to everyone who’s shared our posts, purchased a gift card, ordered takeout or even posted a Parking Lot Pickle story. You rallied after our cry for help and it not only pushed us to carry on, but it became the daily moral boost we all needed to get through this. The community in Langley is something special and we are so proud to live here.
Now, we shift gears again and get warmed up to open a restaurant for the first…. well second time.

Last week a group of our front of house staff showed up with the MOST incredible gift. They told us that the butterflies represented growth, transformation and flourishing during this difficult time. Hands down, this is our favourite piece that now lives on the Haven back bar. It will forever remind us of everyone who’s got our back, and what Haven Family means to us. We are so excited to be able to slowly bring back more team members as we open to 50% capacity and hopefully continue to grow from there. If you missed it, don’t worry - we’ve still got them today too! Takeout is available 3:00-8:00. Last chance before we close tomorrow for a quick pause to get prepared for dine-in. (DONT WORRY, the pickle will still be available in the dining room).

UPDATE! - Haven will be briefly pausing our take-out program after this weekend in order to ensure we are ready to safely welcome guests into our dining room. We’ll be back early June, running at 50% capacity, but with many new menu items that we couldn’t send out in a to-go box. Plus, of course… COCKTAILS! 🍹🍹🍹 More updates will follow soon about our upcoming reservation system, but for now... one last piece of vital information.
The beloved Parking Lot Pickle will be retired after this weekend! DON’T PANIC….. you can still get a crispy corkscrew fried dill when you dine in, but this Sunday will be the final day for pickles to-go. .

It's an exciting time after months of uncertainty. The Provincial Health Officer has officially allowed restaurants to reopen and we can’t wait to welcome you inside Haven for dine-in service as soon as we’re prepared to do so safely! Over the next 2 weeks, we will be working overtime to prepare the restaurant, staff and community for our re-opening. Our target date is June 1st and takeout will continue to be available. Thanks everyone for your continued support! We love you all! .
